I'd like as much info on these guys as possible (notebooks not desktops of course) I hear they are great machines and I love the whole paintjob thing (alot!) but they seem expensive. Any owners? Is the service great or what?

Can't really speak about the laptops that FNW builds, but have always heard excellent stories about the company. FNW machines are almost always rated very highly in magazine reviews.

If a painted laptop is really what you want, I think PCTorque and Hypersonic still offer to paint their machines. Voodoo paints its notebooks, too.

If you haven't already, you can check out these, and nearly any other notebook builder which interests you at ResellerRatings.

I do not have any direct info (so I should just shut up), but I was looking their website just yesterday. Their painting capabilities are astouding. On the other hand their artistic capabilities seem quite low. Therefore if you have a specific design, it looks like they would do a great job, but I would not rely on them to pic out a good design for you.

I don't know anything about their machines

Are you looking at the TL-2(14") or DR-6800(17"). I've never had any experience with them personally. But I have a seen the TL-2 in person. I have a friend who has one thats a few months old and no problems thus far. (All my friends are gaming freaks xD!) The build quality is pretty good on it. It may be the only 14" with the x700 and dedicated I28. Granted its heavy for that form factor. I'm not sure who ODM for this model is though.

Well I'm looking into buying a new pc in 1yr max and trying to decide what I want. I love the acer ferrari and asus lamborghini sounds like it could be great also. But Falcon NW sounds really great (except price!) not just for looks and the machines but they sound like a great business support wise and so on. I was looking into the talon (because it was the most affordable and most portable)

Not quite sure whether you're confused, or have changed your mind about the type of machine you want. The Talon is a FNW desktop model. You probably meant the Frag book TL-2, but there is also the Frag box, a SFF desktop.

Let me add that I've seen the first sticky that lists the ODMs for the boutique manufacturers models. Theirs no way the MSI-1029 could be correct for the Fragbook TL-2. (Unless that refers to an older version.) The MSI-1029 is a 15.4 while the TL-2 is 14.1. While there is some resemblance to that chassis. The TL-2 is not a 15.4 inch with a 14 inch screen put in it like the Dell inspiron B130. Its a true 14.1 form factor. Granted its awefully thick compared to others its side. Its even slightly thicker than an XPS-M140.

The current TL2 is a 15.4 widescreen and as confirmed by Falcon NW is based on the MSI 1029.

You seem to have gotton me. It is 14 inches wide, with a 15 inch diagonal display. My bad. Guess it is the 1024.

I own a Fragbox and it performes GREAT!! It is perfect for LAN parties and anywhere else you need to take it. The only reason I would not buy a TL-2 is if you are not a true hardcore gamer. Spending that much on a machine with those specs is very iffy considering what you could get with that money, but the build quality, durability, and not to mention paintjobs on these things are amazing. I would recommend it if you do your homework on it before buying. They are also a great conversation starter and they WILL catch somebodys eye hehe, I plan to get the TLX. Hope this helped, Peace.
