    Hey,

I just want to get any feedbacks on Falcon NW support for laptops outside US. I want to buy a new laptop and I’m from India.. I currently have Dell Precision M6300 workstation..

There are not many good notebooks vendors in India.. Since dell machine was good and they have good service track record I went ahead with them.. So before I buy a new laptop I just want to know how is support provided by Falcon NW.. I am also looking at sager's notebooks too.. But I am not to sure of their after sales service too.. Plus I want a custom paint job.. :p :D

    Thanks.

Have you read the Clevo Guide... there are MANY vendors all over the world... that are not as expensie as Falcon Northwest for the same exact systems.

yeah, dont buy a boutique system, falcon and voodoo will rip you off an lie to your face like they did with me.
Gophn's guide is good. I know RJTECH ships internationally and they have great people there.
Xotic PC sells painted systems but I do not know if they ship to India.

You may want to just look at the new Dell laptops because they are really nice, and I know they ship overseas.
I say this cause most gaming laptops are not as good as they say they are.
For one they are much more money,
    2) only marginally faster
    3) tend to overheat more
    4) only a limited number of retailers sell gaiming systems.

Just dont buy from voodoo what ever you do. I made the mistake buying their and I really regret it.

    hey,

Thanks a lot to both of you.. Vodoo is not good.. Ouch !.. I was actually going to buy it based on some online "reviews"..

You also said.. Falcon "rips you off".. Don't mind the nagging but just wanna know how.. if you can share it.. I know lot of people who worship Falcon for their service.. It's weird for me to know falcon doesnt have a good after sales.. anyway i knew of clevo but no so much.. the guide is awesome though.. Thanks.. :)

I was more interested into Falcon for the after sales and the paint.. i would really love to get the same paint done from somewhere else.. if possible i guess..

    Thanks again ..

XoticPC is one vendor that gives you both legendary service/support, custom paint jobs, and MUCH better pricing.

And if you look at XoticPC's business records... they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau with great resellerratings.

I think he wants one for the paint.
If you want it done professionally, I know a guy but it may take some time.

It may be better to go the Xotic route, cause they paint your system, for I think $400 and up, and it doesnt void your warranty.

Here is why I’m looking mainly at FNW:

    1. I've said this before, I'm from India.. We really don't get any gaming machine's here. I mean the best we get "branded" (which is important for laptops at least) is XPS by Dell but with 8700M sli..  ..

    2. I am not sure of manifacture's who would have good warranty / after sales technical support in India other then dell who have - like I said XPS.. .

    3. Falcon's have really really high end config.. I mean only one's that stand above / against them are sager and vodoo.. Sager has really futuristic config .. No doubt.. But they don’t have custom paint and I am not sure of their warranty support hence I asked for a feedback on them too. Moreover I didn't even find an international helpline number on their site (ironically I could ship directly to India with their checkout system)..

    4. I am mainly going with FNW for the paint.. I have seen their work and I am impressed. Plus they give lifetime warranty on their paint and screen.. I am not sure if anyone would replicate this ..

I really appreciate your help and everyone’s help..

I can rephrase my question - I want to buy a gaming laptop from a manufacturer with good oversees support with custom pain.. :)

Since you are in India, there are Clevo vendors near you. :)

If you read the Clevo Guide, or even read the Clevo on wikipedia, you will see:
    http://www.connoiseur.com/

they are a Clevo vendor that is based in India. ;)

contact them to get a fastest videocard in their system... since their site needs to be updated.

Also, realize that vendors (like XoticPC) ships and supports international customers... even though they may be based in the US.

Falcon NW are awesome people, my cousin has a maxxed out Mach V in America (a desktop, I know) and something went wrong with it so they collected it from his house and it was re-delivered within a few days. He even got a free Logitech Gaming mouse for what they dubbed "the experience of it breaking on you".
The machine is incredible though and as far as I know their Laptops are just as awesome ;)
Go with Falcon if I were you.

That sounded like it was a mjor issue I just realised, it wasn't, one of the HDD's stopped spinning and made a funny noise, so he told them about it and they said they would replace it under warranty.
