Hi
I just received my 6324W a week ago. The only thing i'm using my laptop for at the moment is word, and web browsing. When i use it the fan goes on and off - not that noticeable, but when it has been on for ½-1hour the fan goes max speed, and it doesn't stop! The cpu coretemp is below 25c, gpu about 55c, but it just doesnt stop, and it keeps going untill i restart the damn thing - whats wrong? anyone? kinda annoying with the fan going crazy, with only Word07 active. And powerplan set to "power save".
specs:
T8300 2,4ghz
M8600
4gb
320gb hd
Vista 64bit SP1

Two things to check in the bios:
- Is the DTS Calibration on or off
- Have you reset the BIOS-defaults once yes or no -

I would check the BIOS version. The fast fan blowing cold air was a regular feature of one of the older BIOSes and I wonder if Zepto didn't update the BIOS to the latest version (--006) during assembly.

Hi again
DTS calibration - couldn't find it anywhere.
Bios has not been resetted, just did it for the first time - wonder how this would help though since i haven't made any changes since i got it.
I presume i have the latest bios, it states: Z14ND06 -
DTS Calibration is in tzhe ACPI-SubMenu
eventually it's deactivated because of your penry cpu (like the CPU-SubMenu) -
Okay, i don't have that option. Guess i'm stuck with the fan blowing everybodys ear off in the classroom... I wouldn't ever recommend anyone to buy zepto really..
I just found out, that putting it to sleep, and cmoing back to windows helps, what kind of issue do you guys think i have? The fan, going crazy also varietes sometimes it's only been on for 10mins, before going in unstopable mode! -
