I seem to be having some trouble with my RAM. When I reboot my Znote I sometimes get the following Error on the boot up screen:

ERROR 0232: EXTENDED RAM FAILED AT ADRESS LINE: 22
PRESS F1 TO CONTINUE F2 SETUP

In the setup it shows 4gb of ram.

Now I was wondering if this is due to the fact that I have Vista 32 which can only support 3gb of RAM (the rest of which seems to be used by my GPU) or is my actual RAM module faulty?

    Thanks.

Run Memtest for a night long, that will test your RAM-modules!
If you get thousands of errors your RAM is not working good :)

If you don't get errors, you should contact Zepto with your question!

    Hey, thanks for the tip.

The problem I have now is I can't seem to be able to test more than 2gbs of RAM at a time, that is I can only have 2 tests running each with 1gb of RAM allocated to it. Any way to test the whole 4gbs in one go?

You can just test 1GB... Hmm can't remember that there is a max for testing!

So you have to run it twice! :p

Well I do run it twice at the same time, thus testing 2gbs in one go, but I have 4gbs of RAM in total and it wont let me run more than 2 tests at once. Also if Vista is using up 600mb of RAM or so... how can I test that? Would I just have to run the test several times?

Sorry to be such a pain

I can assure you there is no errors in the RAM.
It's an error that occurs sometimes with the Zepto RAM as those are not on the list of the RAM tested under the production of the machines at Inventec. This will however be fixed in a BIOS update that is in testing at the moment.

Ok, thanks for clearning that up. Good to know that a BIOS update is in the works.
