Finally Got My 6314W - Pics Inside!

The build quality and game performance is exactly the same as the 6214W, as the only difference between 6214W and 6314W is the color of the LCD cover, top cover and keyboard of the machine. The electronical goods inside are exactly the same.

 

Congratulations on your new notebook, Ibby! I'm sure you'll love it. I wish the Zepto line were available here in the US.

The white really looks great. I don't know if I could trust myself to keep a white notebook clean though .

I got my 6314 yesterday. I tried to buy asus a8js but seems like it won't be here in Finland in the near future so I decided to buy zepto.

First impressions:

Looks very nice.
The performance of core2duo processor is amazing!
geforce 7600go is quite ok for gaming every now and then.
The keyboard seems to be bit loose in the right side, but I'm having it fixed.
I ordered T7200 but they sent me 5600-proc. so they're changing it of course and hopefully fix the keyboard at the same time.
People have been complaining about the touchpad but I find it to be quite OK

Haven't so far had time to really test the possible over heating issue, but I'll keep you informed with it when I have time to drive GTR2 for a longer time.

All and all seems to be quite ok laptop. Hopefully there won't be those heating-issues with this one...

 

did you get the crystal clear 1280*800 screen? how are the viewing angles on it? looks so cute, i really want one now

 

Went through these old topics and found this. My 6314 got that heating problem after all. Now I've been waiting 4 weeks to get it fixed. It seems like Finnish Zepto Service ain't that good. I've tried to call them several times during the last few days but NONE of the times have they even answered. When I've mailed them I've got answers every now and then. Last one was 3th of December when they told me that my processor had some problems and that caused the overheating and now they are waiting for a new processor to be delivered. And that's the last I've heard of them.

This is quite sad, because the sales part was excellent, they answered mails daytime in an hour or so, but it seems like the normal story with all stuff nowadays. After it's sold they lack the intrest of making the customer satisfied.

I think this is my first and last Zepto. I can deal with the fact that the computer is away from me, but that they haven't EVER answered the phone and mails are also answered quite seldomly, is too much for me.

 

I just have to agree with you guys, actually own 6324 myself and the design is absolutly brilliant. i love mine so much

 

Im pretty happy with the design too, I was quite sceptic when i ordered, since ive never liked those icy/milky white mac books. But this white is...well white! and looks quite good.

 

I think everything on that white lappy is really awsome, exept the speakers under the screen..

 

I'll come back to Sweden this christmas and pic up my 6324w which has been waiting for me for a couple of weeks now.. damn I'm excited!
