    Hi all,

I'm having a Compal Fl90 laptop which only works if I plug in the power adapter. I've tested the battery with another FL92 laptop, and that works just fine, so I think the battery itself is fine.

When I pull out the adapter, the FL90 dies instantly. I also noticed the battery doesn't recharge. What could the problem be? Something like a bad connection inside the laptop? Ideas anyone?

I had the same problem, I just kept using the laptop with the adapter only, but some day I tried using the battery to test if the problem was still there and the motherboard just fried... If you still have warranty get it repaired. Otherwise, just try to get a fl90 of fl92 barebone.
