    hi all,
i'm new to the custom notebook thing so i have a question to ask. i'm looking into getting a JFL92 barebone notebook and was wondering, as the title states, if an extra optical drive i have sitting around(still new) will be a flush fit or would i need to get the optical drive that comes with the barebone kit (need the face plate). this would save me $80.

    the drive i have
SONY Slim Combo Drive Black ATA/EIDE/ATAPI Model CRX850E - OEM

Ask the vendor who you are buying the notebook from to make sure.

Justin, a retail NBR member from xoticps should be able to tell you if this optical drive will fit or not.

i got worried in the first place since i had bought one for my brother's vaio and it was not flush and couldn't take the face plate from the original drive.
