Ok so I am saving up for a laptop (Wanted Thunderbox Radius) but I got board and decided to see what else is out there. So I went to Hypersonic and looked at there Aviator AQ6, and itÂ’s the SAME EXACT SYSTEM for a little cheaper. What supplier or manufacture do they use? could I just go strait to the supplier?

    Configured my way:
    Hypersonic $2,940
    Thunderbox $3,081

    Thanks
    Joseph

it's not unusual to find laptops by these boutiques that take a barebone system and dress it up as their own -- it's how the industry works (in general) as we know.

that said, most original design manufacturers such as clevo, wistron, htc and compal to name a few -- simply don't sell directly to end customers. but rather they make systems for the big guys such as dell, hp, toshiba, acer (and so on).

do remember though, you might save $100 here or there by buying essentially the same equipment, but reputability of a company and the warranty they provide is very important. when buying a notebook, think of it as buying a company that might need to support you as well.
