Free Compal Badge / name plate

I saw some Compal owners here looked for the badge / name plate to cover the blank spot on the LCD top cover.

I just ordered 1000 pcs of that today, if you guys don't mind our Company name on it, I can give out as a free gift. It is an engraved aluminium one, looks like this:

I actually ordered my laptop from you. My name is John Croes i'm the one that asked you for you to update the laptops bios so that they fully work with Intel Core 2 Duo. BTW couldnt be happier with both laptops

 

I will be ordering a Compal Hel80 from your Canadian site within the next couple weeks. (As soon as Insurance sends me the check to replace my last laptop)
So I do hope you will put one on the laptop I order

I just have to figure out which resolution Iwill be going with.

 

a little off-topic... I want a Compal logo to use in the Bios startup but in the internet i only found very very small logos.. does anyone know anywhere i can download a good Compal logotype?

Oh sweet, I hadn't noticed this thread; I was wonderin why there wasnt a name plate come with it.. wasn't sure if you had forgotten to put one in the box.
It fits on the HGL30 as well right?

Hey Milestone thanks for the offer! Any chance of you sharing your source of where to have badges made in case some of us might want to have a purely custom badge made?

 

You would need to make a very large quantity to do it like that, unless you were willing to pay a lot of money for a single badge. Perhaps a sign/engraver shop would be able to fabricate a single piece for you.

 

has anyone received their badge yet? i sent my request 10 days ago and still nothing in the mailbox... i'm just worried that they forgot me.

seriously, that empty spot on the cover lid ruins the beauty of this laptop.

 

Nope I didn't get one either; I sent my email like 2 minutes after milestonepc posted to say they're available. Seems odd, since when I ordered my laptop from them it came in like 2 days.

Completely agreed. I'd probably pay for shipping if they needed.

 

Yeah, I don't really mind the indentation, but the little hole is annoying since you can see the backlight from the screen through it.

 

I have it made in Ontario, Canada, to make one thousand pcs, it will cost you $1500, but to make 1, it will cost you $200-300.

I have not started shipping yet, I am collecting the list who want them and try to ship together, maybe will start in a few days.
