I noticed that Fry's electronics has their own GQ brand of notebooks: Out of curiosity, does anybody know who their ODM is?

Bueller? Bueller?
Ok, so I'm dissapointed by the lack of response to my question. Let me clarify why I asked this question. By finding out if Fry's GQ lines ODM is say ECS or Uniwell I could take a look at the build quality of the GQ line and determine if I think the quality is good enough to buy that "brand" from a boutique outlet.
Hope that makes sense... -
hmm this GQ laptop
seems to be this ECS model:
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWeb/Produc...ID=3&TypeID=26&DetailID=404&MenuID=18&LanID=9
of course in order to achieve the price, it is watered down in specs.. a celeron processor, no ATI card, etc.. not to mention that the card and entire system is of 2004 vintage.
Not sure of the other GQ models but they're probably ECS as well. From the reviews i've read of ECS.. very cheap quality..but very cheap prices. -
Thanks Goren. The info is much appreciated.
Having looked at the GQ line at Fry's I haven't been impressed by the quality. Since it seems the ODM is ECS, I know I won't be buying any ECS based models from any boutique outlets.
Hopefully this info will help others in their buying decisions as well.
