I was intrigued when someone mentioned the g14b up on the "What Should I Buy" forum. I checked out the US website and the design looks pretty good. However, I've never heard of Zepto before and I can't find any reviews of the g14b online. Does anyone have impressions they can share? How's the build, heat dissipation, etc? Thanks

Mine is being delivered in a few days. Will see about getting some info up here in the near future.

I'll try to post a review on it too whenever mine comes in.

Look for Zepto Nox A14 reviews. Basically the same machine but with dockingsupport, and a few hitches worked out since the A14 was released.

Well, I got the nVidia 130m GPU with mine, which the Nox A14 doesn't have...so gaming-wise, at least, it might be a little different.

But yeah, should be similar, with (hopefully) most of the kinks worked out.

The 130m is a decent upgrade over the 9650. So far internal testing shows about 600pts over the 9650 in 3dmark06.

Yeah, I don't expect amazing performance over the 9650 since the GPUs are very similar, with just the 130m being clocked higher.

I do plan to run through some games though like Crysis, Call of Duty 4/5, L4D, etc. just so people can have more of an idea on what the G14b is capable of in games.

A question I had though...since it seems that the G14b is a 'newer' version of the A14, is there anything different hardware-wise internally? Like cooling or something?

    Nothing apparently.
The only real difference seems to be the dockingstation port on the bottom and the newer graphicscard.
I think they might have renamed the Nox to fit the new naming of the new line up this year.
