I've never heard of them, but it is easy enough to do some simple research. Let's start with a whois on the domain. The email info all points to the cajuncare.com domain - another web store also registered to charles perron of LA. No address is given (not usually a good sign as it means they have no storefront and are more likely a "flight-by-night" operation). The phone number listed on the contact page of the store is in the LA area code. However, they say sales tax is charged only to California residents. That tends to suggest either a college student out of state using his old cell phone, or an outsourced drop & ship operation where it is just a store front for marketing purposes and all the actual work is performed by a back office vendor. In either case, it again suggests less stability within the business.

That said, the domain was registered in 2001 so it isn't brand new. Using the Internet Archive (and anyone who doesn't know about the "wayback machine" should visit http://www.archive.org/web/web.php where you can see old versions of your favorite pages - it is an archive of the entire Internet - too cool!) you can see their old pages. Sure enough they were in business in 2001 with a fairly rudimentary setup.

The phone number they list has changed, yet the Better Business Bureau has no records of them associated with the new number, the old one, or the URL - likely a good thing as it means no one has ever complained about them.

All-in-all, I am not exactly filled with confidence but there is nothing to suggest they are disreputable. There doesn't seem to be a lot to the business, but they have at least been around for several years. Good Luck!

This is an old thread, but if anyone is interested, I recently placed an order from GEN-X-PC. Feb 2006. I ordered a desktop and a laptop. The desktop was sweet. It was clean, looked great, and it was decked out perfectly. Wow.
The laptop however has been a struggle. I think they are a small company with supply problems. The laptop came without the wireless component within it. I loved the machine it just didn't have the wireless!! Sorry guys! arg. It has been pretty annoying getting it put in there but I have to say GEN-X-PC paid for me to ship the machine back to their shop, then back to my house, then again to the manufacturer when it still wasn't working. They even let my use their UPS shipping account to make it simple and painless as possible. It has been a comedy of errors, but they were always polite and paid to get it right. That's a lot of shipping worth $100s.
I was out time, but in the end they made it work.
I wouldn't give up on them, but make sure you know what you ordered and chill. It would have been a perfect order if not for the wireless problem. I think that also this was more of a problem with the manufacturer backorder than GEN-X-PC. They have worked hard to make this right... much to their frurstration as well.
