Hi, Im rather interested in what other owners of the zepto6625WD (and if possible other types of laptops but with the same type of videocard: 8600m GT nvidia) get for temperatures on idle and on max performance range. Im rather worried right now that my gpu hit 97 celcius today >_> And not entirely sure I should send the notebook in for repairs (already have a faulty memory module) as I need the laptop for work.

    Idle: 65 celcius
    Stress: 97 Celcius

If you ask zepto support the say that those temps are normal...
i got about 100 C on stress and the same idle temp

Those temps seem decent, but you should state which drivers you are using, cause different gfx drivers will often provide different temps. Also provide your bios version, as never version have improved (whatever that means) fan control. In 6625WD there is only a single fan, cooling both GPU and CPU.

When you're testing temps at your GPU, try have a look at the CPU temps at the same time. For me at least, they were rather close connected during stress tests, like 1:2 increase in temps when stressing one of them.

Edit: Further, I've talked to Zepto (DK) and they assured me that their retailer of G86 GPU's are _not_ affected by the flawed chips. Take as you want to - he sounded like a skilled tech. supporter :)

Yeah my GPU regularly pushed 100 degrees while playing Crysis or the like. This just happens with performance laptops. Propping it up on a laptop stand or even a book might shave off a few degrees, but that's the average range yes.

Well, it is a bit more re-assuring to hear that the values are in general the same as most 6625wd users :p

But regarding detailed information: bios is most recent. Drivers are the ones from zepto ftp (175.80 I believe as 185.20 cause artifacts and other graphical errors) . The cpu temperatures are reasonable, 80 celcius is max but usually around 70 after undervolting (kudos for the undervolting guide ^^)

Regarding the g86 on the zepto notebooks not flawed: I just think he meant not all, as Ive read and seen some cases where the graphical card on the laptop have just failed indeed on the same type of notebook. Of course you will not tell to the customer that something might be flawed ;P
