    Hi everyone.

Ive noticed my cpu temp is raised when gaming... quite wierd and maybe disturbing. As I mention it is was around 72-74 degrees at max play in ex. WoW. But now it always gets to 82-83 degrees at max :x Is this normal with Vista?

It could be that because its christmas, i do play for quite a longer period of time... but ?! What is peoples experience?

    thanks

an operating system does not affect the cpu temp. those temps seem aa bit high .try to cool the notebook by raising it a little

Temperatures aren't high! My CPU gets easily 95C, just like my GPU!

And there are many many topics about the temperatures!

You can undervolt with RmClock and decrease temps.

And sly97531; There are cpu issues under vista, which causes the cpu to not idle totally, because of background apps. Higher cpu usage = higher temp. So YES, and OS, CAN affect the temps... ;)

Also, Santa Rosa have some latency issues, which will be fixed in the next BIOS

problem is, my cpu IS undervoltet to 1.000Volt :)

And yes, there shouldnt be a temp difference between xp and vista, but there is! Xp is usually around 10 degrees cooler than vista to my experience.

but thanks, i wont worry then :)

You should check if your GPU temperature is also higher. If it is, your fan might be full of dust, decreasing the airflow and makes your CPU and GPU hotter.
