Just a nudge, a hint even that we would love to see a zepto with a Geforce 8800M GTX (not GTS) or both as an option I suppose.
then those Gamer tags on the notebooks would fit better.
17" is fine if it has to go that way

    [fingers crossed]

    Its nice thinking....BOFH1971

Zepto are always using the latest technology in their notebooks. As we are constantly buying new components as they come onto the market .One thing we cannot change very often is the graphics card, also due to restriction on the Danish stock marker we cannot discuss new products like this....Thanks for the feedback however :)

To be honest if Zepto jumped on the Bandwagon by December and I can get one before the 20th I would order straight away!

Your only competition for Christmas is Rock and there price is about 2K for decent specs.

I do not wont a HD-DVD drive for example that costs 250-400!

    I Don't want a 17 incher :-s
    I want a 15,4 incher with a 8800GTX (just like Alienware)
Or just a 14,1 incher but than I'm dreaming and dreaming and dreaming..

It might be feasible if Zepto provide ear plugs for the fan noise and/or gloves to stop you burning your hands (assuming the 8800 draws more power than the 8600).

It's possible that ATI will be the better choice for the smaller form factor since they seem to be making progress on reducing power consumption ( L'Inq).

@CLB-NL check out the size of alienwares 8800gtx 15.4" notebook though
the bezel around the screen is enormous, bet a 17" screen would fit in that chassis Easily :)

and @ZeptoUK being a Dane myself I am aware of the strange old fashioned restrictions that are in place paa boorsen (sorry no extra characters here at work :) )
it does unfortunately zepto getting in with some competitively priced products to pre-order.

maybe if zepto had a manufacturing plant here in the UK things would be different ?

Most companies do not like pre released products being spoken about , but I suppose legal restrictions do not help. But it this case it is purely hypothetical products we are being linked with :)

That is why I likened it to a football situation, as there are names always flying about but when we have something new we will always tell you guys

For example the hard drive today, I was told 15minutes before it was released on here so you guys are kept well up to date

    p.s did you mean these ones æ ø å ?

    oh yes I most certainly meant æ ø å

nu er jeg hjem på min laptop

you definitely have a point, I suppose I am as guilty as the next man for being impatient, and wanting to see cool new laptops that can play games like crysis without turning too many effects off.

Strange old-fashioned rules? If he leak inside-information it could be VERY critical for the stock value of Zepto. It is highly illegal and there are good reasons for that.

I dont know, the 8800m GTS&GTX have been released, Clevo have obviously let their compaitbility out of the bag, machines are being announced daily, so with the technology available there are hardly any NDA's to worry about, and giving out information on an impending product, will give buyers a chance to think and maybe wait for a preferred manufacturer.

I hope the coming Znotes with 8800M GTX are going to be really expensive. So I won't feel bad since I recently bought my 6364W.

its almost a guarantee that they will be more expensive, unless zepto pull off some amazing deal with their suppliers :)
the notebook would have a different chassis and motherboard, and that kind of kit comes at a premium.

Its not the cost thats the driving factor, its dealing with a company with a reputation for great support.

Dellienware are releasing an amazing machine, but reports on their after sales service show that the mighty Dell (consumer support) division have had their way, now if we were all treated as well as corporate customers........... ;)

I have emailed with Zepto NL about 'When the 8800GTX's come'

    and their answer:
''We expecting this card in our new models at the end of 2nd quarter 2008''

EDIT: "The 8800GTX will possibly in notebooks from size: 15,4",
but knowing Zepto, possibly also in 14" notebooks. "

Montevina is the platform that's gonna replace Santa Rosa... :)

    From Wikipedia:
    Support for DDR3 :)

I just bought this santa rosa notebook in August, and I'm already thinking about when Montevina will be released :D

Haha just like my situation with the 6214W to 6224W :D
I've got that 6214W for only 3 months and then bought the 6224W :D

    If Zepto will present a 14,1" 8800GTX'er I'm probably gonna sell my 6224W :p

    Quarter 2 sounds amazing

as for Montevina well sources (i.e. the Inq etc) reckon on mid 08 for that launch but not before they launch a re-fresh of santa-rosa with the 45nm processors which will still be dual core but run fast and cool at 32watts (I think)

anyway end of quarter 2 hmmm its a bit of a wait , but I do have to save up :)

I dont think Penryn brings anything interesting.
    65nm -> 45nm
    35 -> 29 watts

Sure it's nice with a cooler laptop, and better battery life. But not worth changing the cpu for that reason.

I think when Montevina will be released we'll see newew cpus with higher clock speed, around 3GHz, or maybe even higher, in "intel extreme" versions

The keyword in the sentance here is "EXPECTING" , which really means "GUESSING" which means he really doesnt know!

The last part is pure speculation, I Do not know what will be on our next platform but I will get find out before the Dutch partner and we will release official news to every country/forum at the same time, but its a long way off for now...
