I searched the forums and could not believe no one else had started a thread about the Google Chrome OS CR-48 Notebook. Hopefully this is the right place to post one. If not will an admin please move it to the correct place?
Without further to say, much to my delight and surprise I had an unexpected package delivered today and in it was a CR-48! Chrome OS may be a sweet OS, but the CR-48 is a sweet notebook in and of itself. The solid black unbranded machine is absolutely beautiful! Matter of taste, but if you like ThinkPads you'd love this. Speaking of ThinkPads, the CR-48 is better built than my Dell Latitude E6400. You can pick it up by the corner without any sign of flex. Also it has a lovely rubbery coating that is soft to the touch. Only downside the the machine itself I have found so far is the touchpad. It's awful. Well that and the lack of ports, but honestly that does not seem a like a major issue at the moment since there is no point in plugging anything into Chrome OS as there are no drivers.
So did anyone else get one of these lovely things from Google?

Well, technically we have these threads, the first more focused on software and the second more focused on hardware:

EDIT: Would the mods be okay with making this a Users Lounge for the CR-48? Or is it better to leave that to the announcement threads that are already going?
