    Hi all

I guess im pretty convinced but would like a second opinion anyway.

I have e friend with a zepto laptop (don't know the make or model) where the display looks a bit creepy. Look a the attached pictures.

Does anyone recognize something like this? Is the graphics card dead?

    What Greg said.

Download a program called "HW Monitor" and check the temps to see what they are like. If they were too high for long periods of time that could be a factor.

The oven trick. Sounds crazy... and fun :)

I can use my girlfriends hairdreyer. Am I just supposed to blow hot air on the laptop for a few minutes? On a specific area or...?

    Take it apart.

Or just put the laptop on your bed and leave it on for a while.

I don't think the hairdryer is going to have sufficient heat for melting solder. You'd be better off using a heat gun or something.

hell0: Nice spotted. I think i'll try changing the RAM first and then go for the oven trick if that doesn't work.

Thanks for great replies and suggestions.

    Holy c...!!! It worked.

I took of the keyboard, located and disconnected the GPU fan and started the laptop for 3-4 minutes while blowing hot air on the GPU. The screen color turned into white but after a restart... perfect picture!! FANTASTIC!

Thank you very much for your help :)
