    Hello evreybody,

I'M using vista 64bit on my 5 months old IFL90
today i set it on hibernate and tried to turn it on again after 10 minutes but nothing happend (the notebook is fully charged) i tried to turn it off and on but i still don't get any life signs from the notebook
i also noticed that when i start my notebook the fan works for about 3 seconds and then stops.

can anyone tell my what might be wrong with my notebook?

    thanx,
    Tal

As you don't even boot into BIOS, it could be power supply or mother board failure.

Is the power supply connected and is its light ON?
Can you check that voltage =19V is coming out of the power supply?

Does your vendor provide Toll Free 24/7 Telephone Technical Support?

If so I would recommend calling them.

It could be something as simple as resetting your CMOS...but they should be able to help you no matter what it is.

Same thing happened to me. I assumed my mobo was shot since I RMA'ed it and got back a completely new barebone.

Try to remove battery, remove RAM modules, disconnect from AC power and wait for 3 minutes. Than insert RAM and connect to AC . If everything is ok insert battery. If not try to repeat everything for a couple of times. If it didn't help I am sorry.

Quick question. So the lights turn on the fan spins for a few seconds, which is normal. Does anything appear on the screen? does the bios post? If not, how do you know it's not booting normally but the lcd is dead?

    I didn't do a bad flash on my IFL90
i have bios 1.13 that i flashed 1 month ago and the notebook worked fine until 2 days ago....i think that it's some kind of hardware problem
i also know that this model has screen issues

I had similar problem, first it was only BSoD's, and then it finally died and acted just like yours. After a couple of week of warranty repair it arrived, I was told the MoBo was changed. Where have they only get with a new MoBo so fast, I don’t know, but it works. By the way it was changed with VGA board, earlier I had super clockable Samsung memory chips there and now only stupid Hynix. :(

I have contacted my vendor and they think that my motherboard crashed so they told me to send them the notebook and they will send me a new one....of course i think that i'm going to add some money to do a few upgrades :D

does anybody know if it's possible to upgrade the graphic card? because i have heard of some IFL90 notebooks that are equipped with 8700m 512MB graphic card

Your vendor is the only one who can answer your question.

Generally speaking the IFL90 has never been offered with the 8700M.

I had the same problem (same exact symptoms). It was the mobo.
