    HEL 80 with Mac Osx

    Anyone know if Helo 80 works with mac osx? I had a macbook secondhanded who crashed, now I bough and hel 80 because the power in graphics and thinking if it will work with my beloved osx.

    Nope. OSX only works on apple hardware- they have a special hardware key onboard that OSX looks for, if it is not present, the software will not load. There has been some conjecture about this, but short of having very special developer copies of the system, you'll never have it running on a PC.

    It' illegal to run OSX on non-Apple hardware.

    well, i have the original mac osx cd and I think that it's possible to install it on any pc. People say it's possible, well, I don't know. thank you for answering

    You need patches for it to work. Technically, it will work (with patches). However this is illegal if you are not an Apple Developer in the ADC Program. Let me also mention that not all members of the ADC have access to it, only some.

    Macker is right. It is illegal to run OS X on non-Apple hardware. Apple has not yet shrink-wraped OS X for Intel, so to use it means using a pirated copy. Also the Apple EULA says that OS X is only for use on Apple hardware and the DMCA prevents reverse engineering of copy-protection.

    If you buy a Mac, format the drive and install Linux or something, then you may be able to use that license I think.
