    HEL-80,81 Memory Question

    Recently I've purchaced 1Gb DDRII 677Mhz PQI Module P/N. MECDR421LA, Chip P/N PQC2648D3R, when A-DATA Module P/N. ADOPE1A16332 , Chip P/N AD29608A8A-3EG and my pc refuses to boot. When I've got APACER 1Gb DDRII 677Mhz which is working fine. So, is there any ideas why is so?

    I wanna ask, what's wrong with HEL80,81 because it's not working with all 1gb ram manufacturers. Maybe are some bugs in Compal's BIOS? Then where I must write for this problem?

    Nothing is "wrong" with the Compals... no motherboard, desktop or not, is fully compatible with each and every stick of ram. There are just to many manufacturers to verify compliance to standards and validate compatibility.

    I tried run memtest86 with PQI and A-data. With PQI I can't boot, with A-data I'm getting errors. I tried to put PQI and A-data to another laptop - it's working fine. The problem is like with old PC and new ram modules, where is the wrong addressing.
