I bought a used Enpower laptop (uses the HEL80 chasis) w/ a BIOS Password Lock. Anyone know any backdoor passwords, or how to re-set the BIOS? It's a newer laptop (just over a year old) so I doubt removing the CMOS battery would work, but I will try just incase.

Any help would be much appreciated. If nothing else works out I will part the laptop out on these forums, or else Ebay (I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it, lol).

ask the old owner of the notebook what the password is.
Keep in mind it's maybe easy to remove the password, but it will cost you.

Okay that's great news for you.
I hope you didn't pay to much, because replacing the mobo is a big cost.
Solving the problem by this way is the best and cheap..... but GREAT solution.
Good luck and enjoy the notebook.
