so the fan is not turning up at all?

if thats the case, then you need to fix it or replace it.

FYI, use HWmonitor for a better idea of the temps.

SpeedFan is best for desktops, not that useful for notebooks.

Could be that your Fan has died. Contact your seller or their service and see what they will say. Other than that you could check and clean the vents but since the fan is not spinning atall that won't help. Probably. i don't know what more you could do.

My Core temps have gotten as high as 95C when stressed.
And even when I undervolted, it still gets that hot, although it takes longer and the fans don't spin as fast.
Is there a way to get control over that tiny little fan in the notebook? I've tried speedfan and unfortunately it didn't work worth crap.

If you're having temp problems, the 1st thing you should do is clean the vents/radiators. It's really easy on these machines. Turn the unit over and unscrew the 2 screws around the fan cover. Take out the screws that hold the fan in (3 I think) and blow out the vents/radiators. It's amazing how quickly they get dirty.

It's possible that there is lint or something stopping the fan from turning, or it's unplugged. You can check that too while you've got it disassembled.

Unfortunately you cannot control the fan.

No, the fan turns. It gets quite loud actually.

If you've cleaned the fans and vents, and the fan is running at top speed, but it's still not cooling things down, you might try reseating the heatsinks, maybe putting new thermal paste on them while you're at it. You could also try putting the laptop on a cooling pad to give it better ventilation and cooler air to intake. Try replacing the fan altogether, on the offchance it is not running fast enough and is noisy when at top speed because it has a bad bearing. If that still doesn't help, you may need to send the laptop back for service by the manufacturer.

if this is happening while you play a game.. elevate the back side of the laptop off the ground for about half an inch to allow an open path of steady airflow INTO the laptop from underneath.. used to over heat and shut off on me while playing games till i did that
