    Hey everybody...

I'm really happy for my Compal HEL80... my laptops screen resolution is max 1280 x 800 pixels... I really want this to be higher... and I researched a bite... and found these to homepages:

    http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3060&review=Compal

    http://www.xoticpc.com/article_info.php/articles_id/20

the thing is that, the configuration on these to homepages, matches with the configuration my Compal HEL80 does have... but still I can't get over then 1280 x 800 pixels... but in these 2 homepages, both laptops screen goes to: 1680x1050...

my laptop screen is the one with CrystalClear...

Your laptop has a WXGA screen, max resolution of 1280x800.

The review units have a WSXGA+ screen, max resolution of 1680x1050.

Your screen is built of 1280 horizontal dots by 800 vertical dots. Think about it for a second...

your screen is what it is. you have to get a new laptop or someone really savvy to change it.
