Hey guys, check this out. I found this statement on the following site:

    "ICH7-M supports SATA3G"

    http://www.asimobile.com/notebook_specs_c8015.htm

So does this mean that it will support the Samsung HM080JI SATA 80gb 2.5'' SATA SERIAL ATA II 5400RPM 8MB buffer.

I think the SATA 7200rpm actually would be faster. Too bad they don't have the SATA II at 7200rpm yet.

    Can anyone else confirm this?

SATA versus SATA2 is pretty much irrelevant. No HDD can get anywhere near 150MB/s when reading from the disk directly. The laptop should work perfectly well with a SATA2 HDD, but you won't see any real performance difference. It'd be better to just get the 7200RPM SATA drive.

Yeah that's what I thought, but intereseting that it supports it. Now if we only had a RAID option. :)
