Does the HEL80's vga-out support 1920x1200, or just 1600x1200? I couldn't find the supported resolutions listed anywhere, and I've never gotten it to display properly on my monitor.

It should display up to 2560x1920 (or whatever it is). You won't be able to really run full-screen 3D programs at that resolution though. It'll kill the display card. It may be your monitor isn't properly reporting the available resolutions via EDID. I don't know the solutions, but I do know the theoretical capabilities of the machine. My HGL30 will drive a 1680x1050 monitor just fine, so you shouldn't have an issue with "weird" resolutions.

I was thinking max pixels, vs aspect ratio. Have you ever connected it to anything above 1680x1050? It wouldn't shock me if my monitor wasn't quite up to snuff with the standards. It is the cheapest one I was able to find in its size ;)

Of course the card has the power to display more pixels... I just didn't know if there was a chance the VGA out was somehow limiting it.

Can you create your own resolution using the nvidia driver? I know you can add your own, but I'm not sure what sort of limit's you might run into.

Maybe a solution in this approach for you. Might need another driver version too.. I know I've used 3 versions of the drivers other then stock, and the resolutions are different for each one... (one of the many reason's I keep going back to stock)

I had created my own custom resolution already, trying to trick Remote Desktop. I'm not sure if that's why it was available for the output or not...

The thing was, the image on the LCD was really messed up (this with the output resolution at 1920x1200 -- native). It didn't fill the screen, and when I fiddled with the LCD settings to get it to do so, there was still noticable distortion.
