This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HEL80: Alternative to stock software

    Hi,

    Well i came with the idea of starting a thread with all the alternative software compatible with this laptop, that could replace the stock ones.

    TV-Tuner:
    Stock: LifeView MVP (Pros: Simple to use; Cons: Startup time long, no channel reorder, absolutely few options and only one recording format.)
    Compatible alternatives: Cyberlink Power Cinema (Pros: Easy to use, short startup time, channer reorder, lots of options and three recording formats/quality; Cons: Not one till now)
    Non working alternatives: ChrisTV; Nero Home; Beyond TV. (Mainly the card not detected or problems with sound..)


    I'll update this post with my own investigations and with all the contributions from you guys.
