I have a Winbook X4 laptop that has 2 memory slots (1 user accessible in the bottom, one under the keyboard). The user accesible slot has one card of 512mb ram that's marked 2 x 256MB. 1GB is the max for this machine, but the other (empty) slot is under the keyboard.

I contacted the manufacturer and they said that for them to guide me to access the non-user accessible slot under the keyboard, just to insert the additional memory, would require a $45 phone call and jewelers screwdrivers. I have the screw drivers but wanted to know how hard this is to do. I've upgraded desktops, but never taken a laptop apart.

They say " it is not hard to do, just knowing how to do that is the important part. A store can do it as well but it really only takes 2 screwdrivers both jeweler size, one flat and the other Phillips."

Can anyone tell me how to do this or is the phone call or store the only way to go? There is a tiny little hole next to the touchpad, but I don't see where the other might be.
