I got my HGL30 and the odd, bt, intel wireless was already installed. I only needed to put together the processor, hd, keyboard, and ram. When I finish putting everything together and press the power button - no picture and odd not functioning.

^ ^ Can you share with us on what was causing the problem? I noticed you spoke to our support late last night and couldn't get it to boot after installing your hardware.

Newbies mistake, the RAM was detected in my other laptop (e1505). I check the processor and notice there was a lock picture with a flat head screw in-place. I did not notice this when I was putting the laptop together and I thought the screw may already be tighten. I thought when Amber said to tighten the CPU, I thought you were supposed to tighten the 4 screw for the heatsink.

Boy, was I wrong. Slightly tighten flat-head instead and the laptop work. However, I cannot put 2 gb of ram at first but needed to take one out in order for the screen to display.

Currently in the process of installing window and linux ubuntu.

BTW, thanks for the messenger bag and putting the other components for me :D.

Got to change the sig too! :p
