    HGL-30 suddenly became very slow!

    By slow, i mean extremely slow, I cant even stream a video or play a mp3 without it being choppy. Even loading windows is slow. CPU usage is always 50%+, and 20-30 at idle.

    I havent done anything today that could have harmed the system, I did some intense photoshoping for work, came back home, opened the laptop, and it got slow like this since. CPU is loading like crazy. Overheating perhaps? Never had this problem before...

    Open Task Manager and see what is keeping your CPU at 50%.

    cpu usage is low when i dont use anything... its when i load something that it goes up like crazy. even loading windows is very very slow now.

    i just opened the laptop to clean the fans. Temp is ok so its not a heat problem. Can anyone help :(

    Have you checked for spyware/viruses etc(List of good free programs here). You might want to defrag your HDD as well.

    Also you might want to consider doing a reinstall of the OS(after making sure you backup your data).

    BTW, what OS do you have installed?
