Is there really any benefit to ordering pieces to assemble this myself or should I just order the unit complete?

Ive priced it built for $1500, could I save much by doing it myself?

What would be the parts to order from the vendor w/ the chassis?

Last I checked, you can save about $100-150 by building your own. Perhaps with some serious shopping you could save more.

    But here's why I recommend buying a pre-built system:

    1) You don't have to worry about finding compatible parts.
    2) You don't have to worry about the intricate details of assembly (not that it's overly difficult).
    3) A pre-built will be professionally built and tested.
    4) A pre-built will have a comprehensive warranty vs. a half-dozen or so when there is a problem. Imagine sending in the wrong component for warranty replacement, and then having to go through it all over again. That vs. sending the whole system to your reselller to diagnose/repair.
