    Just letting everyone know that i updated my laptops wireless LAN card drivers and bios. The drivers came from compal website http://www.compal.com/asp/driver_dnd/

    Everything is operating ok, but i did notice that in the past my wireless card light would stay lit if connected and blinking if it wasn't, it seems with the new driver or bios it blinks with activity. I am on the net right now and its blinking and to be honest its annoying to have a bright blue light flickering.

    Any suggestions or rather can anyone confirm that.

    yep mine does that too. when connected but idle, it just stays solid, but when any activity is going, it flashes. I like it :).

    Thanks, have you seen any downsides tot he new bios and drivers ?
    I just ran 3dmark and my score has pretty much remained the same. Everything seems ok for me except my bluetooth mouse is acting up. Every time the system comes out of sleep i have to reconnect the device, not sure if its coincidence with the new bios or a new bug.

    The drivers are for the Intel wireless ABG etc etc. they're not the Widcomm bluetooth module drivers, so I do not think the drivers would cause that problem.

    The only bluetooth things I have tried connecting to my computer are a cell phone (which worked) and a Wiimote (which didn't work, even after asking on the forum :() so unfortunately, I do not know. I haven't heard anyone complain about the quality of the bluetooth module for this laptop on this forum.

    I'm on 118 from biznet right now, can't say I have any issues, maybe apart from the fact that my brightness keys no longer work when in system (i run Linux) due to some vista compatibility upgrade.

    wondering which are better btw, the biznet site or compals ? compal doesn't really have that many upgrades anyway.

    regards,

    //m.
