I am seriously considering the HGL30, but over the past few weeks have read many people complain about the fan constantly turning on and off. Can owners of the HGL30 tell me if this is a true problem, or just a minor annoyance, or not a big deal at all? Greatly appreciate your help on this.

ive gotten used it. it doesnt seem like its doing it as much now, but maybe that's just because im used to it. if you are in a quiet room, you will definately notice, but i'd say it is just a minor annoyance that comes with an otherwise awesome laptop.

The bios fixes it slightly, but I have actually begun to get used to it. The good news is that this is the coolest (literally) laptop I've ever used in terms of heating up the underside of the laptop. As long as I make sure I keep the intake outlet on the bottom unobstructed, the laptop never heats up to uncomfortable levels even while gaming or after running two instances of prime95 overnight.
