Hey everyone. I bought an HGL30 (under "chembook" name) on ebay for $580 shipped and paid another 110 to upgrade to 2gb ram. It is an awesome laptop...I totally love it. The person who shipped it to me just threw it in a box with no packing materials tho, and the screen has very very slight damage. Basically toward the right are a few small white spots, not dead pixels, usually unnoticable, but white spots. I'm wondering if it's possible to upgrade the GL30 screen to a wxga+ 1440x900 from the 1280x800...I see plenty of screens at that res that are 14.1" on ebay and such, and I know the go7600 supports that resolution.

I looked on the acrobat manual and it tells you how to replace the screen, so that wouldn't be a problem, just wondering if anyone knows if I could upgrade the resolution a little bit. I would really like the extra desktop space and crisper screen.

Yeah you'll be fine with the higher resolution.

I don't see why not. Finding a compatible screen may prove difficult.. maybe.

Let me know how it goes if you decide to go that route. I've got an HGL30 (see the sig) that I might want to upgrade the screen in. I haven't found any good references as to compatible LCD's though.

Also, what PDF are you talking about? I've never seen one... I'd be quite interested in that if you have a link or a copy :) Thanks!
