I am thinking about making the jump to HD and getting the Xbox 360 HD player and hooking it up to my HGL30. I have a dell 2407WFP which can display 1080p but I need to know if my computer can handle the resolution without stuttering. Anyone try it?

The HGL30 should be able to handle it without a problem, but test the connection first to see if you can drive the screen at 1080p. The GO 7600 should support up to a resolution of 2048x1536 at 85Hz, but drivers can alter this, so it is best to test the connection first.
Provided you can drive the screen, you should be able to use the HD-DVD player without stutter, although there could be some trickiness involved in getting the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player working properly with your system. -
Well the player should work no problem and I have played 1080p videos as files on my system with good performance; however, I thought there might be some underlying problem when using an external drive to play the HD discs. But apparently not. Thanks a lot.

Happy to help
. The website below has a link to drivers that will work for the HD-DVD drive, and WinDVD8 should be able to play HD-DVDs once the drivers are loaded.
