    HGL30 fan switch mod

    Here are some pics of the mod. The switch basically allows me to have the fan constantly on but at a slower speed and less noise, off, or normal. The constant voltage is taken from the usb. I took out the modem port to make room for the switch. I haven't used dial up since the 90s so i don't think I'll miss it.

    I wish I was that ambitious, had that much time on my hands, and had the guts to try something like that.

    Really cool mikysee, I didn't notice the voltage regulator in your photos, how does that look once it's all put together?

    The voltage regulator is in the last pic on the upper left corner. It's the gray circle.

    hehe, maybe if this fan thing gets on my nerves enough I'll try it out. soldering and such doesn't bother me. been years since I burnt out a component :)
