The title is the computer I own, when the computer is idle the heat is pretty crazy.. 80c.

When running any games it gets even hotter.. Now currently this model has an underclocked video card and I am wanting to change that except the heat worries me. The computer never turns off but still I do notice some slowdown when playing for a long period.

My main issue is that the fan isn't working as hard as it could be.. I'm currently updating my bios in hopes that there will be some sort of control for the fan.

I'm not using a heating pad, the vents could use some cleaning, and I play with the laptop in my lap raised by my legs so the vent has some breathing.

On a side note, for those of you that will tell me not to over clock I do have my A+ and I will be doing regular checks for artifacts so I don't melt my computer. This is just to see if there are any alternatives to getting a cooling pad.

Clean the vents definetly; a new bios might help, don't expect hardware fan control available to you by some backend since there simply isn't the required hardware on these models (afaik) - but yea, the whole fan story might improve.

    Cheers

Having some sort of software fanbus for my mobo in an updated bios is a dream, and we can all dream!
