Well This week I ordered from micro express, I had email them and they said they had some in stock, but when I called they said that they didnt have but would have thursday and mine would ship to me on friday and I would have it by monday. Well 10 min ago Fedex comes, since I have been ordering alot of stuff I think nothing of it grab the package, realize its heavier than usual but dont think anything of it, as I walk toward my room I keep realizing its rather heavy, then I say "no, it cant be" I put the box over my head looking for a stocker and I see the fedex label says :Micro Express, needless to say I get excited, so this is where I am at my first impression is, the 15 is larger than I thought, also the computer looks exactly the same, same buttons, reader, webcam, but on the bottom it says Fl90, not IFL90, this was one of my worries but everything else looks exactly like the ifl 90.

I am booting it up as wee speak, will give review of WXGA screen(to shiny when off is my first impresion).

    SPecs: 2.2 GHZ
    160 GB 7200 rpm
    2 ram

    Review:
Screen: WXGA 1200x800, screen looks nice, but to glossy for my liking, I had to chose this one if I wanted my pc before the 15th. The screen is basically a mirror when black or turned off, mostly when turned off, but during normal operation you cant see much. The viewing range is pretty good, from all sides.

Keyboard: this is my first laptop so the keyboard seems good to me, have done little typying on it, the only minor annoyance is on the left side where I rest my palm it seems to be a bit warm, dont know if this is normal, I am running it on a cooling pad. All buttons worked for me, wow, email, internet etc.

FIngerprint reader- after 20 minutes like an idiot trying to get it to read my finger correctly I go it, just roll your finger down and make sure to pass the tip of it over the read, basically ignore the dumb incstructions lol.

DVD player: Mine brought ciberlink DVD player, which I think needs a patch to run with vista, at least that is what windows told me, but dvd's played fine, I put in Six feet under and it looked nice.

Sound:Its a laptop cant expect much,, the sound is good with earphones.

Touchpad: feels ok, its cool that you can use the sides to scroll automatically, but for some reason it doesn work on IE, only on windows explorer and firefox, so i dont care that it doesnt work on IE, lol.

Camera: This is where I need help I coudlnt even find the camera program? dont know how to make it work.

Gaming: havent tried it, will try CSS, possibly halo 2, and half life episode one.

Noise and Heat: Noise was good you can barely hear it running. I was having a bit of problem with the heat and I want to know how to test that. The left side and the touchpad was warming up a bit, I was running with the battery unplugged and just ac plugged, is this wrong to do? what else could be causing the heat?

tell me if I left anything out...

i have the wxga screen, and it is very reflective when off. however, i do not have any glare with it on. the room i'm in is not all that brightly lit, but the light is basically right above my head when i'm sitting in front of my computer

there is no camera software besides the drivers. You'll have to use a third party program. www.cameroid.com works great for me.

NO the only 3 options I get are, 3d settings, display and television... that is all

i went into thehelp menu and it says this:

    Mobile
NVIDIA PowerMizer mobile technology extends the notebook computer’s battery life using a flexible power management system integrated with the hardware and software graphics subsystems.

PowerMizer dynamically adjusts graphics performance based on the system’s needs when unplugged. You do not need to disable PowerMizer when plugging the notebook back into a power source.

NOTE: For Windows Vista - The Mobile page is not available under Windows Vista.

btw the drivers in nvidia website are diff than the ones in the laptop video to go website which on do I chose?

edit: my ifl gets hot on the left side where i rest my palm and the touch screen is this normal?
also what program do I use to test the temp of my laptop?

    thanks
