I just bought a brand new SN12E2 .. but it has a Linux OS (somethin` called FOXOS) and i want to install Windows XP on it .. but i cant. :|

i prepared a flashdrive with the XP os .. but when i enter BIOS and set it to boot from flash it says "Reboot and Select proper Boot device" ... after some google-ing i read on a website that u should disable SATA AHCI in bios ... which i did .. but some thing.

has anyone successfully installed XP on this model of laptop ? can anyone help me figure this out ?

Are you sure the flashdrive is bootable? Try booting it from another computer.

If it is bootable, then try selecting it from the boot menu when you turn on your laptop (You might have to enable "Display Boot Selection Menu" in the bios but I'm not sure anymore.)

Insert the bootable flashdrive into a USB port, turn on the laptop and then get into the boot selection menu by pressing the appropriate key (Once again, I'm not sure which key you have to press so try one of the Fx keys - F12 or F8, or try ESC or DEL)

Once in the boot selection menu is displayed, select the USB drive containing the W7 installation files. If it still doesn't boot from the USB drive, then you didn't make a proper W7 installation drive.
