Has anyone here applied thermal paste to the HGL-30?

    I don't want to pay $50 for a job that involves six-dollar goo ...
Has anyone here done it on the HGL-30 themselves? Any tips? Is the heatsink thingy in the way?

I built my HGL30 myself. I installed AS on mine. Look at my thread on the HGL30 build. The trickiest parts are some wires that have to be looped over the heat pipe to the radiator and screwing in one screw of the fan that is hard to access. If you bought your laptop from a reseller instead of a building it yourself, you'll void your warranty. Mine is forsale on the forum.

It depends on the system and configuration that you're buying so they ask that details not be discussed. All you have to do is call them and ask them about it and they will make it worth your while.
