    Hel 80 and linux

    Hello everyone,
    I have pretty much decided to get a Compal Hel 80 from reading the posts here. However I still do not know how well the hardware is supported under linux, specificly the ubuntu distro.

    If anyone has installed linux on their Hel 80 please let me know how it went and if there were any troubles I should look out for.

    First of all, welcome to the forum.

    Next time, try to use the search function before starting a new thread. gotgenes has installed Linux on his HEL80 and has posted a number of times on NBR about his experience.

    Can someone, who's maybe using compal hel80 with ubuntu, what works, what works with some work, and what doesnt work?
