Soo..I only get about 2 1/2 hours with my hel80 now which i know i'm being greedy..but isn't enough anymore! I remember when i was running vista i could get upwards of 3 1/2 even 4 hours once! Ive read a little about underclocking/volting my cpu but I can't exactly figure it out as all the utilities i've got for it for some reason don't detect my cpu?? i have a t5500... Anyways, what can I do on XP to squeeze some battery life out? I'm not a compleetee nub, I make sure to turn off my wireless and turn down brightness, close unnecessary stuff etc. Help would be appreciated!

    thanks!

Hu? I've read more than one time, that vista is REDUCING the battery-runtime ...
How got you 3 1/2 hours with the every-time-busy vista?
Do you have the big 9-cell battery? And by the way ... if you have one, check if it is plugged in ;)
2 1/2 hours runtime is near to the upper limit of runtime with a HEL81 (NVidia-Graphics) and the standard 6-cell battery ... or am i wrong?

PS: For undervolting, i'm using "Notebook Hardware Control"
