Hello,
Beware!
Audigy 2 ZS notebook installed in HEL80 works fine under Windows XP. But under Vista x64 this card produces strange crackling sound. To get pure sound necessary to disable and then enable ENE cb-712/714/810 Cardbus controller in the Device Manager. Only 16-bit sound plays clearly under Vista. 24-bit sound is distorted.

so it's not the HEL80 that doesn't fully support it, it would be 64 bit Vista

I recon this is the reason for your problems...

You may want to email Creative Labs to find out if they have any plans whatsoever to support Vista 64 bit with their older hardware. I'm sure a CL driver update could fix the issue, but the question is whether or not Creative actually cares enough to try to fix a problem with a card that newer notebooks can't even use.

Audigy 2 ZS driver for windows vista x64 evolves. The last version dated 10/25/07. But ENE cb-712/714/810 driver is very old - 11/17/2006. So i think the problem is in the cardbus driver.

I was right. ENE cb-712/714/810 driver pack 3.00.02(Compal site) is sucks. After updating to 3.00.07 16-bit sound became much clearer, noise background disappeared. 24-bit sound is still distorted.

Have installed Creative 2.18.0001(6.0.1.1361 dated 27.06.2008 or 21.08.2008) driver. 24 bit sound is distorted as before.
Hel80 doesn't fully support audigy 2 ZS notebook
