Hi, I've got a Compal Hel80 laptop and I've been thinking about getting some good external speakers as I am in college and would like to be able to drown out some ppl if I need to. I've been looking at 2.1 systems as I dont really have the space for 5.1 surround sound. Im thinking about getting the z-2300 logitech speakers, they seem to be getting good reviews and are relatively cheap (about $110). I was wondering if the sound card for the HEL80 will work good for those, I know its the Intel High Definition Audio and all that, but I was just wondering if a PCMCIA sound card or something would make any difference. Also, any thoughts on the speakers I have chosen would be helpful too.

The internal sound card/chipset (Intel High Definition Audio) will drive anything you put to it...there is no need for a PCMCIA card...and the speakers would be great, you can't do much better.
