    Hello,

When I hit the INS key nothing happens any editor keeps inserting text and no LED turns on. It does work for COPY/PASTE in combination with CTRL and SHIFT. For me the insert on/off functionality is essential to edit text file or any other kind of text editing. I tried using the On Screen Keyboard and when I press the Num Lk or Caps Lk a LED on the computer turns on but if I press the INS key nothing happens.

Is there something else that I can use to test my keyboard like a freeware keyboard testing utility?

    Thanks!

The Insert/Overwrite key does not have an LED. Only the Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock have an LED indicator. The Insert/Overwrite key is very program specific, it is a generic overwrite function in Windows that is mostly compatible with Microsoft Office/Works or most Text programs.
