It would help if we knew what the specs of the laptop are.

I saw it listed on Walmart's online store a few days ago and would also like to know what people think of it. No Walmart store in my area seems to carry it, so I can't go have a look. I haven't been able to find any opinions.

You get what you paid for. Everyone knows ECS makes budget equipment. I have friends who work in the computer industry who sell ECS but would personally never buy one.

A friend of mine was also looking at this laptop. For the price, it seemed to offer a pretty good basic functions. I am pretty sure if you just buying it for regular work process, internet, and emailing and all it should be fine. The processor look to be around 1ghz or so. As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, you probably could get the 598 one and buy an extra piece of memory and load it up. There's like one or two review, but it's on a uk site, so I don't know how updated it is. But as always when it come to laptop and price, you pretty get what you pay for. You could go with it and if you thinking long term, you probably could brought a protection plan from walmart so they can cover u if anything happen. Good luck with your choice and tell me how it goes if you do decide to buy it.
