Help w/P1 Restore Disk

I just finished installing the restore disk and I'm having issues. First my computer is hooked up to internet but the SmartWi is saying I'm not (use to work before) also finger print reader won't set up every time I put my finger on the reader to set it up says its a bad reading (I'm doing it right) also when I go to use the screen saver I use to use it is now saying something about my video card needs to be newer verison to use (It worked before) and my new power reading is 1.0 it was 2.0 before I used P1 disk. That is all I have noticed so far since I just installed. It's installing windwos updates now.. Can someone please help me?

I got everything going but the fingerprint reader. I tested the scroll function and it won't scroll and all the settings are gray'd out and won't let me select them.. HELP PLEASEEEEE

 

Best to email support; since engineers do not frequent the forums. As for restore; did you just comeplete it? If yes, you should re-boot and have the devices that windows does not auto-install install by having the drivers auto install locally.

As for the fp reader have you comleted the intial setup; do you have TPM enabled in thw BIOS and which machine do you have? Since you mention SmartWi, I am assuming a Sony??

I got that going after a few reboots and everything is fine. I do have one question how come on my "computer raiting" I went down from a 2.0 w/Sony to a 1.0 w/yours? My Graphics and Gaming Graphics scores droped down to a 1.0 on both??

 

Check your profile and performance settings, which you can customize to make scores higher; also depending on which machine you have; which at this point still do not know except for its a Sony; machines like the SZ have switch for shared and.or dedicated memory etc...

 

I'm sorry I thought I told you that I have a TZ. I got that to work now too so now the only thing that I can see is weird is the windows activation key it says it is now not correct. There is one that pops up (which isn't the same as my windows sticker) and when I try to submit that it says it's wrong so then I try to put in the one from the bottom sticker on my tz and it says that is not correct ether. It says (as of today) that I only have 2 days left before it is going to try and do it automaticly or something like that. Will that be a problem? I sent an email to tech. at P1 just now. Why wouldn't my windows product key work?

 

Anytime you reload an OS with Microsoft nowadays they requires you to call in and they ask you why; to ensure your not loading OS's on other machines and they will give you a new string of digits to put in there.
