Hey everyone, I tried overclocking my compal hel80 with vista business. I tried using coolbits and it doesn't work. Has anyone tried it out? What are scores is everyone getting on the windows thing?

Is it the sameway to overclock in vista as in xp? I tried coolbits but I didn't get the clock control on the system panel.

I also find that the screen at the default resolution of 1680x1050 is too small. I have increased the DPI and changed to large fonts and used the clear type tuner. While much better it is still small on these old eyes. And internet explorer is really bad even on the largest text setting. Since this is a 16:10 aspect ratio I want to keep it that way but just a bit lower so I went into the display setting to change the resolution and imagine my surprise when 1440x900( which is 16:10 aspect ratio too) was not an option. Why is this not there. I think if i could have it at this size I would be able to deal with the smaller fonts and text size.

The OP talked about adjusting the screen brightness. How do you do this? Is this in the nvidea display properties where it mentions brightness and contrast? I recall someone mention a specific number of levels and that does not make sense there.

I'm using 97.54 drivers and it seems to work. The only thing is that it'll reset to default everything it shuts down.

I rolled back to that version (OEM, not laptopvideo2go's) and it works. It did raise my Windows Performance rating from 4.1 to 4.4 for 3D performance. Also, I was having trouble with Company of Heroes on that newer version...works fine in this one.
