Hight temperatures on standby [PCS Recoil2 (TongFang GK5CN6Z)]

I'm encoutering a problem with the standby of my PCS Recoil 2 (Tongfang GK5CN6Z, i7-8750h+gtx1060):
even if i'm sure the pc stays in standby (i disabled auto hybernation and other modalities) the notebook will still be warm to the toucha even after a lot of hours (with or without plugged AC, it's not warn due to previous usage but due to heat generated DURING standby) .
This probem is crucial to me due to the fact that while travelling for work i always leave the notebook on my bag on standby (so i don't have to close all the opened programs) and the temperatures rise to concerning levels while closed in the bag.

I did investigate a litte and the heat seems to be generated in the memory area while the cooling area and ssds are cool to the touch.

HDD: Samsung 970 evo 1tb

 

When you put it in sleep/standby your RAM stays active and holds the session you were just in, hence why its getting hot. You are better off just turning it off or using hibernate - boot times with an SSD are very good anyway.

 

i'm fully aware of the implication of standby and hibernation and i cannot recommend hibernation due to the high disk write on an SSD disk;
as a freelancer programmer i usually left open a lot of programs (with work half done) while i'm moving from office to office so "just turning it off" is out of question sometimes, it's not a matter of start-up times.

By the way i always used standby on previous laptops without an issue but this time the heat generated is far too much to be used just to mantain ram storage.

Ok, i can confirm the issue:
i opened the notebook on standby and i can confirm that the heat is generated by the memory modules simply by touching them;
the temperature is an issue as they're so hot i can barely resist touching them for more than 1s and they're way hotter than the cpu heatsink after normal usage (sorry but sadly i do not have a thermal camera).
I tried replacing one memory slot with a module laying around (Corsair valueselect 4GB 2133 MHz CL15 CM4X4GF2133C15S2) and they're a little warm but nothing more where the Patriot module is scorching hot.
