I wonder if they got em?
-
yeah sure hope they did
-
nope... I really hope something changes soon...
-
Yeah. I'm about to cancel mine, I was okay with the wait but not when it's been pushed back months and theres still no solid word.
-
Don't do anything rash now aeauvian. I know the wait stinks. But if you order any laptop online, now, there will probably be at least a week or two wait. So just tough it out. I'm sure the resellers are doing their best to get the shipments out.
-
In all honesty, if you guys can wait for it, i.e., school is two months away in September, you should. I know the wait is killing (believe me, I feel the same way), but if you're to change laptops from something you would otherwise not choose (a weaker laptop, a less durable laptop, whatever), a couple months after you receive it, you might start having second thoughts about it, something that wouldn't happen if you were to wait for your original order of the Sager.
That's just my perspective, I know I'll probably be doing that if I canceled my Sager right now and went with the Dell. -
. Thankfully, I was able to quickly sell it.
I looked at the new Dells too, but the shipping would take equally as much time. -
if you get a WSXGA+ screen, will anything kind of bad happen if you drop the resolution to say wxga+ resolution when you want to do word processing and gamming?
-
-
It's best to keep the screen at native resolution as much as possible, so things like word processing or Interwebbing should be kept at native.
For better performance in games, perhaps it'll be in your best interest to lower the resolution. Though it'll be fuzzier (because more than one ingame pixels will stretch across one "real" pixel, depending on the resolution) and you might have to up AA and AS to compensate, it shouldn't really be a problem except for the true videophiles. -
Honestly I've dropped the resolution on my desktop monitor which is an LCD monitor plenty of times and you can't really notice the fuzziness when you play unless you really look for it. Its pretty minor. And with effects like bloom nowadays, you probably wouldn't even notice a difference. Don't worry about it too much.
-
I do the same thing with my desktop LCD monitor but I have to ask, would the quality dip be much greater for a laptop for any reason?
-
I have 1680X1050.
-
I've dropped the resolution on my dell laptop lcd and it's hardly noticable. But it was widescreen so everything looked fat and I had to turn on "maintain aspect ratio"
-
hmm, i would get the WXGA+ (1440x900) resolution, but it comes with a 6 cell battery. =\
need that 9 cell so i guess WSXGA+ for me -
WUXGA
But not really. I really like the WSXGA+ -
i just think that wuxga will be too small...
How about a PowerPro J 10:15 (Compal IFL90) with WXGA+ (1440x900) Resolution...Vote for your favorite resolution on a 15.4" laptop
