I recently bought a Znote 6224W and I'm having a huge problem with my card reader.

At first I thought the drivers I got were wrong turns out though that they weren't. I finally managed to push the SD card all the way in and everything worked fine. (It used to get stuck about halfway in)

But as I pushed it out again a new problem emerged. Now it won't go in again. It goes in a little bit more than halfway, there it hits some sort of spring mechanism which pushes it out again.

Have I ruined it or am I just inserting the card in the wrong way(?).

I have been struggeling with this for hours now and I really hope someone can help me out...

you cant put in the card the wrong way. not sure what you did. it might be broken. sounds like it never really worked in the first place. try wiggling it a bit and see if you can push it past the barrier. gentle force if you know what i mean. there isnt much you can do wrong with the card reader. insert the card and then press again so it springs out.

Are you quite sure that the SD card isn't supposed to go in upside down? That's how it works on some readers.

    Thanks for the fast answer.

No it seems upside is the right way to put it in. It doesn't even go in upside down.

Yeah i thought they should be quite fool proof, maybe it is broken then... :(

I guess i'll have to call Zeptos support tomorrow and see if they have ever encountered this problem before.

I'll post back if I find an answer to my question that doesn't involve sending it for repair.

I'm writing this in case someone has the same problem as I had.

My problem was essentially that the SD-card didn't really go all the way in, into the card reader.

First off, the card should go all the way in and a most definite click should be heard. Once the card is correctly inserted it will pop up in windows as a hard drive.

My card-reader is a bit tight for the SD-card. Due to many different posts over the internet I have come to believe this might be somewhat of a common problem with the Znote 6224W.

What I need to do, to make it work, is to push it as far in as I can, that is about two thirds of the cards length where it will create a clicking sound. Once it has clicked I need to wiggle it a bit to the left while pushing inwards and that’s it.

Be gentle though when you do this...
